Services related to a notary’s functions as a public officer

In addition to being professionals with many years of expertise, our notaries have the status of public officer. This status means the legislator recognizes their power to authenticate certain acts and therefore testify to their content. Notarial acts en minute are filed in the notarial records and the notary may issue authentic copies of the act. This role entails an important duty of impartiality, which not only distinguishes notaries from other jurists, but also ensures that contracts are properly executed by attesting to the understanding and consent of all parties involved, thereby minimizing the grounds for future litigation.

In addition, some of our notaries are certified as Identity Verification Agents (IVAs). This qualification is very useful in the current context as it enables our clients to obtain keys and certificates that allow them to sign documents digitally. Our notaries are accredited and authorized by government agencies to verify and certify the identity of the persons concerned.
