Serge Kronström was President of the Quebec City Bar in 1983-1984 and has served on the General Council and the Administrative Committee of the Quebec Bar. He is legal counsel to KSA.
He is a certified mediator and arbitrator, member of the Institute of Arbitrators of Canada and Quebec. He has acted as arbitrator and chairman of arbitration committees in several major commercial and construction cases and has chaired the disciplinary committees of several professional orders.
Serge Kronström has been involved in all types of cases and has pleaded before courts of all jurisdictions. He has represented the Government of Quebec before the Krever Commission, which investigated the blood supply in Canada, and the Quebec Ministère des Transports before the Quesnel Commission, which investigated the causes of the collapse of the Sainte-Marguerite River bridge in Sept-Îles. Serge has extensive experience in civil liability, insurance law and health law.
He has acted as counsel for the Technology Development Fund and, in that capacity, has intervened in several cases related to research and development and biotechnology. Serge Kronström and the members of the firm now represent the main institutions and private companies involved in venture capital in Quebec. Many new economy companies also benefit from their experience in financing and their knowledge of the various financial and tax assistance programs available.
He has also been involved in various activities in the field. He has been a member of the board of directors of Réseau Capital and Bio Agro Contact Inc. and was president of the Ag-Bio Centre, an incubator for companies specializing in agri-biotechnologies.
