Lisa Fournier practices in civil and commercial litigation mainly in the areas of construction, environment and real estate. In addition, she works on mandates involving land use planning and property boundaries.
Within these areas of expertise, she is called upon to provide strategic advice to her clients, provide opinions, draft procedures and plead before civil courts or arbitration tribunals.
Finally, Ms. Fournier also practices in professional law. In this specific field, she is called upon to make representations before the disciplinary boards of various professional orders or before the Tribunal des professions.

Representation before the judicial courts for construction files – civil engineering : Assisting the client in various stages of the claim process against the client for additional costs in the context of unpredictable events that occurred during the course of the project.
Representation before disciplinary bodies : Representing a professional in defence of an appeal before the Professions Tribunal in order to avoid a conviction on one count of a disciplinary complaint. Experience in cases involving various professional orders, such as the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, the Ordre des médecins vétérinaires du Québec and the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec.
Appeal against the directors of a dissolved company before the Superior Court : Acting in defense of the directors of a dissolved company in order to avoid a condemnation of nearly $80,000 for fraud and latent defect, concerning a commercial building on which an underground heating oil tank had been abandoned. Our intervention allowed our clients to avoid being held responsible for the damages claimed by the new owner.
Challenge of a CPTAQ decision before the TAQ : Lawyer for a silviculturist to challenge a CPTAQ decision, which refused to authorize the renewal of a farmland and a maple grove of 6000 taps. Our intervention allowed the client to keep his maple grove and to transfer the land under cultivation of nearly 21 hectares.
