Éric Robichaud is involved in various types of commercial transactions, particularly in the areas of bank financing, corporate mergers and acquisitions and the negotiation of commercial agreements.
Bilingual, Mr. Robichaud has acquired over the years a particular expertise in the field of cross-border acquisition transactions, having assisted various clients in the context of acquisitions and sales of businesses in various American states as well as in Europe.
In the area of financing, Mr. Robichaud represents various institutional lenders and borrowers in the financing of businesses operating in the manufacturing, maritime and agricultural sectors. In the course of his financing practice, Mr. Robichaud frequently has the opportunity to participate in the establishment of security interests in respect of borrowers whose assets and activities extend to other Canadian provinces or to the United States.
In addition, Mr. Robichaud is regularly called upon to draft and negotiate various types of commercial agreements, in both English and French, on behalf of companies dealing with foreign suppliers, clients and partners.
Represented a Québec-based mining company in the acquisition and sale of assets in Colorado, California and Georgia.
Acted for an institutional lender in connection with loans to a Canadian shipyard and its customers totaling $300 million.
Represented a major Canadian shipping company in the financing of its fleet with various Canadian and European financial institutions.
Developed a master consignment agreement on behalf of a vehicle manufacturer for U.S. customers.
